Stephen grew up in Huntington, WV and graduated from Presbyterian College where he met his bride-to-be, Taryn. After marrying, they moved back to Huntington where Stephen enrolled at Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University. After rotating through multiple specialties, and realizing that “kids are so much more fun than adults”, he pursued a career as a pediatrician. Along with two colleagues from residency with the Greenville Health System, Parkside Pediatrics was founded with the goal of providing a higher level of love and care to the patients and families they serve. Stephen and Taryn are blessed with three wonderful children and attend Grace Church, where he serves on the elder board. Serving as a foster care parent for several years brought into focus the many needs of orphans and vulnerable children within our community and grateful to join with Known & Loved to meet those needs.
